Leather storage bench – There is not much a well-placed storage bench cannot achieve. Use the storage bench through the front door to create clay with seating and storage for boots, put pillows and rooms under a window for a moment window seat, place it at the foot of your bed to store linen, or place it in your breakfast area as a hideaway for paper towels and other kitchen presses. But you plan to use your storage bench, you can save money by making the bench yourself, using a re-made kitchen cabinet.

Sand the original color outside the cabinet. Continue grinding until all paint is removed and all surfaces are even. Paint the outside of the cabinet with your latex paint. Allow the paint to dry completely, and then add a second layer. Let it coat completely dry, and then seal it all with a layer of polyurethane. Place the leather storage bench on its long side, with aperture for the door at the top and towards you. Open the door. Place the chain to the left, the outer corner of the open door, then hold it up to the upper left corner of the opening; cut the chain to this length with the cutter.

Mark a place on the inside of the left side of the leather storage bench, about an inch inside the edge and one inch down from the top. Drill a test hole here, and then screw into a hook. Drill a control hole in the far left, outer corner of the door, around the location you used to determine how long to cut the chain; the hole should be on the inside of the open door. Screw a hook here too.
